Dr. Ralf Seiz

Dr. Ralf Seiz is CEO and owner of Finreon AG and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PSS AG. He is also a lecturer at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and a member of several boards of directors and foundations. Dr. Seiz was Assistant Professor at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), founder and CEO of a consulting firm, and before that Business Analyst in the Financial Services sector. Before obtaining his doctorate in economics (Dr. oec. HSG), he completed his studies in physics at the ETH Zurich (Dipl. Phys. ETH). Dr. Ralf Seiz has many years of proven experience in asset management, pension finance and mathematical finance. The Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) ranked him several times among the most influential Swiss economists.

Dr. Julius Agnesens is Head of Investment Solutions and Member of the Executive Board at Finreon. Previously, he was working as Head of Investments & Retirement Planning at MoneyPark, in derivatives trading at All Options, and in Sales at DWS Investments. Before obtaining his Ph.D. in «Economics & Finance» from the University of St.Gallen (Ph.D. HSG), Dr. Julius Agnesens graduated at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) with a Master of Science in «Finance & Investments», as well as at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) with a Master of Arts in «Quantitative Economics & Finance».
Simon T. Müller

Simon T. Müller is Head of Business Development and Member of the Executive Board at Finreon. Previously, he worked at UBS Investment Bank in Swiss equities sales to institutional clients for several years. He gained further practical experience at Credit Suisse First Boston, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants as well as UBS Wealth Management & Business Banking. Simon T. Müller is holding a Masters degree in «Accounting & Finance» from University of St.Gallen (HSG). He is a «Chartered Financial Analyst» (CFA), a «Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst» (CAIA) and a «Financial Risk Manager» (FRM) charterholder.

Dr. Christian Vial
Head of Innovation & Research
Christian Vial, Ph.D. is Head of Innovation und Research at Finreon. Previously, he worked for Kraus Partner Investment Solutions as project manager of Global Tactical Asset Allocation solutions and for Vescore (formerly 1741 Asset Management) as quantitative developer of indexing (smart beta) products. He gained further professional experience at Notenstein Private Bank in Quantitative Strategies und Research and at Credit Suisse in Investment Risk. Christian Vial obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of St.Gallen (HSG) with a research focus on filtering methods. He further holds a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen (HSG). His Master's thesis was awarded with the Credit Suisse Prize for the best graduation thesis of his semester.
Dr. Marc Frattaroli
Marc Frattaroli is a Quantitative Researcher at Finreon. He obtained his PhD in Finance from EPFL and the Swiss Finance Institute, with research in the areas of corporate governance and financial intermediation. Dr. Frattaroli also holds an M.Sc. in «Finance and Investments» from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, and is a CFA charterholder. In the past, he worked for Deloitte, Accenture, and AXA amongst others.
Adrian Fuhrer is a member of Finreon’s Innovation and Research Team. Previously, he worked at a large Swiss pension fund on the strategic asset allocation and in investment research. Adrian Fuhrer holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in “Applied Economic Analysis” from the University of Berne. During his studies, he completed a semester at HEC Lausanne and worked as an intern in the financial stability department of the Swiss National Bank. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in “Quantitative Finance” at the University of Zurich, focusing on portfolio optimization and risk management.
Dr. Thomas Pfiffner
Head of Smart Beta
Dr. Thomas Pfiffner is member of the Investment Solutions team at Finreon. Previously, he has been working as Head Indexing at Vescore as well as Head Equity Portfolio Management at 1741 Asset Management (former Wegelin & Co. Asset Management). Dr. Thomas Pfiffner holds a Master of Arts in «Economics» with a focus on «Finance» (lic.oec.HSG). He further holds a Ph.D. HSG in financial markets theory with a focus on «Asset liability methods for pension funds and private investors» (Dr.oec.HSG). Moreover, Dr. Pfiffner received the Wiliam F. Sharpe Indexing Achievement Award which honours his research contribution on alternative indexing methods.
Felix Löhrhoff is part of Finreon´s Investment Solutions team. After completing his Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Zurich, he graduated from Imperial College London with a Master of Science in Finance. During and after his studies, Mr. Löhrhoff worked as a part-time student in Investment Management (Zurich Insurance) and completed internships in the Mergers & Acquisitions (BNP Paribas) and Private Equity (Ardian) industries. Prior to joining Finreon AG, he worked for two years in the FX and Derivatives Sales team at BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA.
Tobias Mann is part of the Investment Solutions team at Finreon and is currently studying for a Master in Banking & Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Mr. Mann holds a Bachelor in Economics and previously worked at a SP500 FinTech (FIS) as Quality Assurance Analyst focusing on Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book. During his Bachelor studies, Mr. Mann volunteered for Sustainable Business Models in a student consultancy. During an exchange semester in Singapore, he operated as team lead in another consulting project in the domain of catastrophe insurance.

Benjamin von Haase
Head of Risk Control & Multi Asset
Benjamin von Haase has several years of experience in quantitative asset management. He is a member of Finreon´s investment solutions team. Before joining Finreon, he worked as a portfolio manager, quantitative researcher and quantitative investment strategist for Vescore and Tom Capital. Benjamin von Haase holds a Master of Science in «Money & Finance» from Goethe University Frankfurt and a diploma in «Accounting, Finance & Controlling» from Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Joachim Plath is part of Finreon’s Investment Solutions team. Before, he worked as an Analyst in Accenture’s Financial Service practice, as well as in the Credit Risk department of Mercedes Benz Bank. Mr. Plath holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Ulm.
Pedro Harder is a member of the Finreon Investment Solutions Team. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in «Banking & Finance » at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Before completing his Bachelor of Science UAS Zurich in “Engineering and Management” with specialization in “Business Mathematics”, he accomplished an apprenticeship as constructor in civil engineering.

Dr. Alexander Gruber
Head of Economic Research & Advisory
Dr. Alexander Gruber is Head of Economic Research and Advisory at Finreon. Additionally, he is a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Dr. Gruber obtained his Ph.D. in «Economics & Finance» there (Ph.D. HSG) with a particular focus on international macroeconomics, banking, and financial stability. During his doctoral studies he spent a research year at Stanford University, for which he received a scholarship from the Swiss National Science Foundation, and worked as a research associate at university. Before he worked, among others, in investment banking at Rothschild (M&A) and in corporate finance at General Electric. Dr. Gruber also holds master’s degrees in «Economics» as well as «International Business Studies» from the University of Innsbruck.
Philippe Kuttler is a Senior Institutional Sales at Finreon. Prior to joining Finreon, he spent several years in England working for leading asset management firms including Dimensional Fund Advisors where he was in charge of continental European institutional clients. He was also Head External Asset Management at compenswiss. Philippe Kuttler holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Severin Lienhard is a member of the Business Development team at Finreon. He holds a Master of Arts in «Banking and Finance» with Minor in «Behavioral Economics» at the University of Zurich. After the completion of his studies for the Bachelor of Arts in «Economics» and the Bachelor of Science in «Sports Science and Economics» at the University of Basel, he completed an Internship in the Product Management and Project Proposal Management team of the Institutional Clients division at Credit Suisse. He gained further practical experience as tutor an teaching assistant at the University of Basel and in the Private Equity Mandate Solutions department at Ardian.
Julian Wössner is a member of Finreon's Business Development Team. He holds a Master of Arts in "Banking & Finance" from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Bachelor of Science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in "Management & Technology". Previously, he worked in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte and in Private Wealth Management at Sal. Oppenheim.

Oliver Fürer is head of product management. Previously, he has been working at Credit Suisse in various roles as a product specialist. He gained further practical experience in the Fixed Income Sales department at Deutsche Bank. Oliver Fürer holds a Master of Arts in «Banking & Finance» from the University of St.Gallen as well as a Bachelor of Arts in «Economics» from the University of St.Gallen. He also is a «Chartered Financial Analyst» (CFA) charterholder.
Manuel Bolliger is member of the Business Development team at Finreon. Previously, he has been working in Portfolio Management at UBS in Zurich and Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science in «Banking & Finance» from HTW Chur.
Dominic Walz is a member of Finreon's Business Development Team. He is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in «Accounting & Finance» at the University of St. Gallen. Before joining Finreon, he gained practical experience in management consulting and the financial industry.
Eliane Herzog is a member of Finreon's Business Development Team. She is currently completing her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen. Before joining Finreon, she gained practical experience at a pension fund and a retail company.
Monika Gloor is responsible for the accounting, HR and administrative departments at Finreon. Previously, she worked for several years as a trust officer at Inspecta Treuhand AG. She gained further practical experience in accounting, HR, and administration matters in the accounting department of the Migros Ostschweiz cooperative society as well as in the Stadtgarage AG. Monika Gloor completed her education at the trust office wbt.ch AG and subsequently accomplished in-service training. She is a certified professional in finance and accounting with a federal Certificate.
Michelle Nyffenegger is member of the Business Development team at Finreon. She completed her tourism diploma at the HFT Tourism School in Lucerne. In the past, she was working as an assistant of the senior management in a start-up, as an assistant at the HFT Lucerne Ltd. and as a travel agent at Big Blue Tours. Before she completed the covational business school at the school of business in Brig during this time she was working as a bank employee at the Raiffeisenbank Region Visp.
Luana is member of the Business Development team at Finreon. She completed her apprenticeship as a commercial clerk at Login, a subsidiary of SBB. In her previous position she was a sales and marketing assistant in a champagne company. She is currently attending the covational business school.
Lukas Schlunegger is IT System Administrator of Finreon. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil. Previously, he worked in the IT-Team of Novotrade Reimann GmbH. Before his studies, he completed an apprenticeship as IT-Specialist in System Engineering.

Alain Beyeler is CEO of PSS AG and a member of the Extended Executive Board at Finreon AG. Previously, he worked as a lead fund manager for market neutral equity strategies at GAM. Before that, Alain Beyeler worked as a portfolio strategist at Credit Suisse, as a quantitative Analyst at Finreon AG, and as a portfolio construction specialist at UBS AG. Alain Beyeler holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St.Gallen.

Jöri Gujan is Head of Business Development of PSS AG and a member of the Extended Executive Board at Finreon AG. Previously, he was a Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Company. During his studies, Jöri Gujan worked in Finreon’s Business Development team and accomplished various internships, among others in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley and Wealth Management at UBS. He holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen and a CEMS Master in International Management.

Stefania Corapi is Operations Manager at PSS AG. Previously, she worked for seven years as a fund accountant at AIG Private Bank and Royal Bank of Canada. In previous positions, Stefania Corapi worked in Inducement Management at Bank Julius Bär & Co. AG and as a securities auditor at the Cantonal Tax Office of the Canton of Zurich. She holds a degree in business administration (Eidg. Kauffrau EFZ).
